Should I...?

I was always inspired by the fact that people actually have the talent to create just, perfect novels.
And I've always wanted to create either a series, or a popular amount of books, enough for people to know my name.

So I've started writing my story on Microsoft Word. It's coming along...but I've felt as if it wasn't going to make it.
I'm not sure what to do, if I'm discouraged by the fact that I'm an "average" writer, or something.
- sigh - I don't know anymore.

Anyway, my book is called "The Path of the Rising Sun", and so far I only have the prologue (one page) and a tiny bit of the first chapter. (about three sentences?)

I could always try, though. ^^
